Changan debuts in South Africa with a fresh lineup – the all‑electric Deepal S07 leads the way

Changan has announced that it is officially entering the South African market. The Chinese‑made automaker will offer five vehicles, with its newest all‑electric SUV, the Deepal S07, taking centre stage.
The new South African catalogue
- Alsvin sedan – a practical and affordable family car
- CS75 Pro midsize SUV – a box‑style off‑road ready machine
- Hunter bakkie (turbodiesel) – a rugged, work‑focused pickup
- Hunter REEV double‑cab – a range‑extended electric version of the Hunter
- Deepal S07 all‑electric SUV – a sharp, fully electric contender that showcases Changan’s modern design language
The S07, featured in the accompanying images (rear, front, and interior), is part of Changan’s Deepal sub‑brand, which focuses on electric and alternative‑fuel vehicles.
What to expect
