Renault has just rolled out its newly refreshed Captur in South Africa, complete with updated pricing and spec details.
The launch follows the local release of the updated Kiger just a month ago.
A fresh new look
Renault’s compact SUV‑crossover has received a full makeover. The updated Captur features sharper styling, new tech options and a range of improved powertrains, all tailored to the South African market.
“The revamped Captur delivers a bold new identity while keeping the reliability and practicality that drivers expect from Renault,” said a spokesperson from Renault SA.
Pricing and specifications
Renault SA has rolled out the price list for each trim level of the new Captur. While the full details are available on the dealer’s website, here’s a quick snapshot of what to expect:
| Trim | Starting Price (ZAR) |

(Pricing figures will be confirmed in the official launch event on 8 Dec 2025.)
What’s new under the hood?
- Power: A range of efficient & high‑output engines, including a new 1.0‑litre Turbo‑charged petrol and a 1.2‑litre Efficient‑Hybrid option.
- Tech: An upgraded infotainment system with larger touchscreen, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, plus a more advanced driver‑assist suite.
- Space: Slightly revised interior layout offers more rear‑seat legroom and a versatile cargo area that adjusts to everyday needs.
Following the success of the Kiger
Renault’s latest strategy has already seen success with the launch of its new Kiger crossover earlier this year. The updated Captur continues that momentum, positioning itself as a strong contender in South Africa’s growing SUV segment.
