Toyota South Africa revamps the Rumion, boosting safety, tech and practicality
Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has given its compact MPV line‑up a fresh makeover, adding new safety features and convenience upgrades while making the Suzuki Ertiga‑based Rumion a bit larger for more room inside.
Earlier this year, TSAM rolled out a host of updates to its Urban Cruiser and Starlet models. Now the company has turned its attention to the Rumion, slashing new safety and tech features and beefing up the vehicle’s size for added practicality.
With the revised exterior dimensions, the Rumion now offers more space for passengers and cargo, while the safety package—including advanced driver‑assist systems—makes the model safer than its predecessor. The update also brings upgraded convenience items, from improved infotainment to better storage solutions, ensuring the vehicle meets modern family needs.
