Kia’s fresh Seltos is already on the showroom floor
Kia is set to bring its new, second‑generation Seltos to South African roads in 2026 – and the automaker has just pulled back the wraps so we can take a look. The compact crossover looks sharper, slimmer and a touch more purposeful, with a whole new chassis behind it.
Built on the latest K3 platform
The Seltos is now based on Hyundai‑Kia’s newest K3 platform, giving it a solid, modern foundation. That means a longer, wider and more stable body that still feels compact enough for city driving.
Size matters (and the numbers don’t lie)
- Length: 4 430 mm – 65 mm longer than last year’s version.
- Width: 1 830 mm – 30 mm wider.
- Wheelbase: 2 690 mm – an 80 mm stretch for better interior room.
- Roofline: 1 600 mm – 20 mm lower than the earlier model (previously 1 620 mm).
These changes translate into a bulkier presence on the road, but with a more efficient interior layout that keeps the Seltos practical for everyday use.
