Audi kicks off 50‑year celebration with the bold GT50 Concept
Audi is marking half a century of its famous inline‑five engines with a new showpiece: the RS 3‑based GT50 Concept.

Audi traced the roots of the GT50 back to its first five‑cylinder engine, debuting in the 1976 Audi 100. Those engines have driven some of the marque’s most iconic cars – from the rally‑ready and road‑legal Quattro models to the high‑performance RS2.
The GT50 was put together by a squad of 14 apprentices from Audi’s Neckarsulm training centre and took more than six months to finish. It’s a fitting tribute to a turbocharged legacy that has powered Audi’s success for 50 years.
