Mercedes-Benz South Africa has introduced a new derivative to its A-Class model portfolio. The Night Edition comes with several cosmetic upgrades, including the Night Package with gloss black wing mirror housings and window surrounds, and a front grille featuring three-pointed-star elements. The A-Class Night Edition follows the CLA Night Edition and GLA Night Edition, both released in January 2026. Like those models, the A-Class Night Edition’s bodywork is finished in MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey, with Polar White also available.
The A-Class Night Edition is based on the A200 AMG Line. The Night Edition kit adds AMG Line styling and the same 19-inch AMG alloy wheels found on the Mercedes-AMG A35.
Inside, the Night Edition’s cabin remains largely the same as the AMG Line model’s. It features digital instrumentation and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Mirror Package and Parking Package come as standard.

Prices start from R889 700, placing the A200 Night Edition above the A200 Progressive and AMG Line trims, both priced from R815 674. The package includes a five-year/100 000 km maintenance plan and a two-year/unlimited km warranty.

As a reminder, the A200 uses a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 120 kW and 270 Nm of torque, sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It’s aided by 48 V mild-hybrid tech, which can add an extra 10 kW for short bursts.
