Mercedes-Benz South Africa updates the GLE 450d pricing for 2026. Here’s the new pricing.

Mercedes-Benz South Africa has revised the local pricing of the GLE 450d 4Matic. The move aims to make the model a bit more accessible to South African buyers. Alexandra Boavida, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz SA, says: “This realignment isn’t just a response to current trends, but a renewed commitment to delivering exceptional value propositions across the portfolio.”

Locally, the GLE 450d 4Matic now starts from R1 958 375, a decrease of R99 465. The sticker price includes a two-year/unlimited km warranty and a five-year/100 000 km maintenance plan.

As a reminder, the GLE 450d 4Matic is powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six turbodiesel engine with 48 V mild-hybrid tech. The mild-hybrid adds an extra 15 kW and 200 N.m to the engine’s 270 kW and 750 N.m, available from as low as 1 350 r/min for short bursts. Power is sent to the road via the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Mercedes-Benz says the 0-100 km/h sprint takes 5.6 seconds, and the top speed is 250 km/h. The claimed fuel consumption is 7.6 L/100 km, giving a driving range of over 1 000 km on an 80-litre tank.
