GWM SA has announced that the Haval Jolion Max is on its way to South Africa, with the local arm confirming when the model will launch in our market.
Exterior and size details place the Jolion Max between the Jolion Pro and the Haval H6 in GWM’s Haval lineup. The Jolion Max measures 4 590 mm in length, making it 120 mm longer than the Jolion Pro and 113 mm shorter than the H6. It’s 1 877 mm wide. The Jolion Max also comes with a 2 710 mm wheelbase, which is 10 mm longer than the Jolion Pro.
While the local model lineup and specifications haven’t been announced yet, the example pictured here shows automatic LED headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, you’ll find a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless smartphone charging tray, and a panoramic sunroof, among other features.
Haval Jolion Max SA launch date
GWM SA has confirmed the Jolion Max will arrive in South Africa in the second half of 2026. The full model range, specifications and pricing will be released closer to the local launch. For context, the Jolion Pro is currently priced from R392 150 to R521 450.
From what we understand, the Max will likely use a 1.5‑litre, four‑cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in some overseas markets, tuned to produce 130 kW of power and 275 N·m of torque. Power goes to the front wheels via a seven‑speed dual‑clutch transmission. As with the Jolion Pro, there’s a strong chance a 1.5‑litre hybrid option could be added to the lineup later on.
