iX3 – electric‑first, arrives Q3 2026
BMW’s new electric SUV, the iX3, was unveiled at the brand’s global launch event in Spain, where we got the chance to take it for a test drive. The updated iX3 will hit South African showrooms in the third quarter of 2026. The model promises a cleaner, more efficient drive while keeping the familiar i‑family design language.
3 Series – the next generation
If the iX3 is BMW’s first arrival, the next up‑and‑coming is the new eighth‑generation 3 Series. This generation is expected to carry BMW’s “Neue Klasse” styling cues and will be available in a range of powertrains, including a hybrid option and a fully electric i3 version. The 3 Series will keep BMW’s signature driving dynamics while modernising its tech and performance lineup.
