Kid X celebrates a double‑birthday: hip‑hop star earns a degree in sound engineering
South African rap star Kid X has just turned a milestone into a moment to remember – and it’s packed with double celebrations.
The award‑winning artist announced that he has officially graduated as a qualified Sound & Audio Engineer. With a bright graduation cap on his head, Kid X posted a photo on his socials, grinning from ear to ear as he reflected on the hard road that led to this finish line.
“We did it. Officially a qualified Sound/Audio Engineer and all that good stuff,” he wrote, captioning the snap.
A new chapter in the making
Kid X credits Revolution Media Academy for making the dream a reality. He studied there through a bursary programme he helped design, a chance that he says “truly changed my life.”
“I’m eternally grateful to @revolutionmediaacademy for giving me the chance to study through the bursary programme we crafted and also extended to other students. That opportunity truly changed my life,” the rapper added.

The musician didn’t forget to give a shout‑out to the people who stood by him. He thanked his “A‑team” – @givenzulu, @liza_monageng and @fuzzroots – for believing in his little dream, as well as his family for the endless love, support and encouragement.
