Makhadzi’s former dancer claims unpaid salary

Singer and performer Makhadzi is back in the spotlight – but not for her new hit. A former background dancer has taken to social media to accuse the star of leaving her unpaid for two months.

The dancer, named Melita Ramokgosi, posted on Facebook on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, a series of WhatsApp screenshots she says prove her claim. “Please tell your fave to pay me for the two months she owes me between May and June,” Melita wrote. “Now this is the reason I stopped working with her. I was told they would pay me when they arrive in SA from Mozambique, but NOTHING!!!”

Melita added a clip of herself performing on stage with Makhadzi, insisting that she fulfilled her duties and deserved the money.

The screenshots show Melita repeatedly reaching out for payment, only to meet silence. In one message she reportedly told Makhadzi, “You honestly not a nice person. I know you can see my messages and you’re ignoring them, and my calls. The fact that you want me to beg you to pay me my salary I worked for is crazy. Can you pay me so I can leave you alone?”

The drama comes just days after reports that Makhadzi may lose her assets over an unsettled R200,000 debt to a consultant, adding fuel to growing concerns about her financial stability.
