Honor has just launched its most advanced foldable yet—Magic V5, staking its claim as the world’s slimmest AI-powered foldable smartphone. With a record-breaking thinness of just 8.8mm, the Magic V5 challenges heavyweights like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold and OPPO’s Find N5, pushing foldable tech into a new design era.

Unveiled on July 2, the Magic V5 is not just a hardware marvel—it’s a powerhouse of AI capabilities, high-end specs, and futuristic innovations. From camera upgrades to satellite communication, the V5 aims to dominate the premium foldable segment.

Honor’s Slim Marvel Blends Power and Elegance

Weighing only 217g, the Magic V5 delivers a surprisingly solid build. It sports a 7.95-inch main OLED display and a 6.43-inch cover panel, both supporting 120Hz refresh rates, 4350Hz PWM dimming, and 5000 nits peak brightness. Display tech also includes LTPO eye protection and Rhino Glass, enhancing durability and efficiency.

Its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with Prime cores running at 4.32GHz, is backed by an Adreno 830 GPU. Paired with MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15, this device comes in three storage options, offering up to 1TB capacity and 16GB RAM.

Users can enjoy smart reminders for appointments, addresses, and even ID numbers. It even supports AI Connect, which enables seamless data transfer to iPhones.

Battery life is another standout. The 16GB + 1TB model boasts a 6100mAh battery, while other variants pack 5820mAh. With 60W wired and 50W wireless charging, Magic V5 ensures fast, efficient power-ups for all users.

Durable Design with Revolutionary Fold Tech

Honor hasn’t skimped on reliability. The Magic V5 uses a Luban shock-absorbing hinge, which survives over 500,000 folds, and aerospace-grade double fiber lamination to boost strength. Its AI capacitive sensing even detects particles larger than 0.8mm, alerting users before damage can occur.

It features IP58 and IP59 protection, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, Honor RF chip C1+, and NFC, ensuring top-tier connectivity and resistance to the elements.

Impressive Cameras and Design Aesthetics

The tri-camera system features a 50MP wide lens, 50MP ultra-wide, and a 64MP periscope with 3x optical and 100x digital zoom. For selfies, both front screens sport 20MP wide-angle cameras. The camera island has a diamond-cut octa-edge design, adding a luxury finish.
