In September 2025, Chery’s sub‑brand Jaecoo rolled out its first J5 compact crossover in South Africa. Now, the company is widening the local J5 range with the launch of an even more budget‑friendly option – the J5 Core.
Shannon Gahagan, National Brand and Marketing Manager at Omoda & Jaecoo South Africa, says the new model gives drivers a “gateway into the Jaecoo brand for those looking for uncomplicated, everyday motoring with a modern, adventurous edge.”
Stay tuned – the J5 Core will be available soon, bringing the Jaecoo experience to a wider audience across the country.
