New Toyota Hilux set for South African debut

Toyota South Africa Motors has just confirmed that the brand‑new, ninth‑generation Hilux will be arriving on local roads very soon.
The heavy‑duty pickup has long been a favourite of the region’s off‑roaders, and the next generation looks even tougher and more tech‑savvy.
The countdown is on
In October, TSAM also announced that the highly‑anticipated Land Cruiser FJ would launch in South Africa in 2026. That was not the only highlight – several other Toyota models are set to hit the market over the next year, details of which will be featured in CAR Magazine’s December 2025 issue. And, of course, the new Hilux is the headline of this year’s lineup.
