Nissan unveils the Dune Patrol Concept, honoring the Patrol’s desert‑racing roots
Nissan’s U.S. arm has dropped the secret to the equation with the reveal of the Dune Patrol Concept. The concept, a nod to the Patrol’s storied desert‑racing heritage, is set to make its public debut at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas from November 4–8.
Based on the Armada Pro‑4X, the Dune Patrol Concept shares its heart with the new Patrol that’s heading to South Africa. It packs a 3.5‑liter twin‑turbocharged V6 that delivers 317 kW (≈425 hp) and 700 Nm (≈516 lb‑ft) of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a nine‑speed automatic transmission, giving the concept the robust off‑road capability the name promises.
“By pulling the wraps off the Dune Patrol Concept now, we’re letting fans see where the future of the Patrol lineage is headed,” said a Nissan spokesperson.
The Dune Patrol Concept will be on display at SEMA 2025, where automotive enthusiasts and industry insiders can get a closer look at Nissan’s next step in rugged, high‑performance design.
