Mitsubishi fans get a treat – Springboks Ox Nché and Trevor Nyakane receive brand‑ambassador giveaways in Durban
At a colourful launch event in Durban, two of South Africa’s biggest rugby stars were handed brand‑new Mitsubishi Triton pickups. The ceremony celebrated the company’s revived partnership with the Springboks line‑up and the first steps of a new deal with prop Trevor Nyakane.
The Mitsubishi Motors event – showcased with bright banners and a fleet of the latest sixth‑generation Tritons – marked a renewal of the carmaker’s ties with Ox Nché. It also announced the beginning of a collaboration between Mitsubishi Motors South Africa and the popular Springboks prop Trevor Nyakane.
During the press gathering, the two players were presented with shiny new Triton bakkies, a nod to their role as brand ambassadors for the Japanese automaker’s local arm. The giveaways underscored Mitsubishi’s commitment to South Africa’s sports community as it pushes forward with its “Power to Win” marketing campaign.
