Huawei Mate 70 Air – new specs leak shows better display, more RAM than the regular Mate 70
Huawei’s latest fan‑favorite, the Mate 70 Air, is making headlines in the leak‑scene again, this time when a new file revealed its screen and memory specs. The portable machine looks set to outshine the standard Mate 70 in the inside configuration, boasting a bigger screen and even more RAM.
For years Huawei has been pushing newer tech on its phones – even with US restrictions on the company. FixedFocus reports that the company will treat the Mate 70 Air like a “premium” device, offering 16 GB of RAM and a quad‑curved display. The leak hints that the light‑weight phone will pack a punch over the regular Mate 70.
Standard Mate 70
The ordinary Mate 70 ships with a 6.7‑inch flat OLED panel that can show 1.07 billion colours, uses a P3 wide‑colour gamut, and runs at 120 Hz.
Its display pulses at 1440 Hz to cut out PWM flicker and samples touch points 300 times a second. The resolution is FHD+ (2688 × 1216). The glass – a second‑generation Kunlun – is 20‑times tougher than normal glass, resisting drops and scratches.
The phone comes with 12 GB of RAM and three storage options: 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.
Mate 70 Air – Display + RAM
The leak says the Mate 70 Air will slash a quad‑curved screen with two RAM options – up to 16 GB. It will ship with HarmonyOS 5.1 and can be upgraded to the current 6.0 version.
China Telecom has already shown the phone, pointing out its key specs: a 6.9‑inch screen at 1920 × 1200 pixels, two storage variants (256 GB or 512 GB) – and it comes with 12 GB of RAM.
Huawei Mate 70 Air battery to crush Apple/Samsung’s slimmest phones
When netizen users asked the tipster about the launch, he said, “Get ready for an autumn launch – aim for the first week of November.”
So for now we’ll have to wait a handful of days to get the full spec sheet, but based on the leaks, the new flagship is shaping up to be a real challenge to the slimest phones on the market.
