Export Pulse – October 2025
According to the Nationale Automobiel Maatschappij van Suid-Afrika (Naamsa), South Africa shipped 32,659 new cars out of the country in October 2025.
That’s a tiny 0.5 % jump – about 178 extra vehicles – compared with the 32,481 cars exported in October 2024.
However, the trade month‑over‑month was a bit of a slump. 38,772 units left the country in September 2025, so October saw a drop of 6,113 vehicles.
On the year‑to‑date scene, exports are still running ahead of the previous year, up 6.7 % versus the same period in 2024. The market is holding its own, beating global supply‑chain hiccups and shifting trade rules.
