Toyota South Africa is bringing the new GR GT to the country
Toyota South Africa Motors has officially confirmed that the latest addition to the brand’s high‑performance line‑up – the GR GT – will soon hit South African roads.

What the GR GT brings to the table
Beneath its sleek, elongated hood the GR GT packs a 4.0‑litre twin‑turbo V8. In concert with a single electric motor, the pair delivers a combined output of at least 478 kW (about 645 hp) and 850 Nm (around 664 lb‑ft) of torque.
The car is rear‑wheel drive only, fed by an eight‑speed automatic transmission that boasted a wet‑start clutch for sharper acceleration. While the full 0‑100 km/h figures haven’t been released yet, Toyota itself says the GR GT can hit a top speed of 320 km/h (roughly 200 mph) or more.
