Toyota stays at the top of South‑Africa’s car sales chart in November
Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) held its spot as the country’s biggest-selling car brand once again last month. The Japanese automaker’s local arm moved 13,576 new vehicles out of lots in November 2025, pushing its national market share up to 24.7 % – a clear sign that Toyota still dominates the South‑African road.
The boost comes on the back of a bigger overall market. According to the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA), total new‑car sales hit 54,896 units in November, up 12.5 % from the same month a year earlier. Even amid a shifting trading environment, TSAM’s steady sales help it keep its lead among the country’s buyers.
