Mini teams up with Austrian design studio Vagabund to unveil two one-off Countryman models that are as practical as they are fun.
Based on the Countryman S All4, the new Vagabund collaboration follows the motto “lifestyle meets function and fun.” Mini says the two design studies demonstrate how creativity shines when form, function and attention to detail come together—an approach the brand shares with Vagabund.
Each one-off Countryman wears a distinct color: Melting Silver with sand-colored accents, and Midnight Black with its own details. Both get upgrades aimed at boosting their off-road character, including a raised ride height. Extras like exterior audio are part of the package as well. Notably, instead of a left-side rear window, these Countryman models feature sound systems that turn them into mobile stages, especially when parked next to each other.
The Vagabund co-developed Mini Countryman S All4 models also showcase a subtly revised front fascia, new grille and a colour-matched bumper attachment. The grille is made from three laser-cut, folded aluminum plates with stainless-steel mesh inserts. The roof rack was designed with both form and function in mind. The wheel arches are reworked to house 20-inch wheels with bespoke, 3D-printed covers, giving the cars a more purposeful stance.
For reference, the Countryman S All4 uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 150 kW and 300 Nm of torque (available from 1 450 to 4 500 rpm). Power goes to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The production model hits 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 228 km/h.
