In the June 2025 issue of CAR magazine, we spotlighted all the Chinese automakers currently trading in South Africa and those eyeing a future launch in our market. One of the brands moving forward is BYD’s sub‑brand Denza, a joint venture with Mercedes‑Benz that began in 2010. Denza is slated to set up a local presence in 2026, and in July 2025 we announced that the company will bring its Toyota Land‑Cruiser Prado–rival, the B5, across the border. But that’s not the only adventure‑focused SUV the Shenzhen‑based brand plans to roll out.
